The Funeral Rule of 1984 was created by the FTC to make sure consumers have specific rights and funeral homes have specific obligations when dealing with Preparation, embalming, choosing caskets and other items. A funeral Society is an expert on the Funeral Rule, and can deal with the funeral home a lot better than Family members under emotional stress.
